Restoring your divine feminine energy.
Divine feminine energy is of receptivity and stillness. Divine feminine energy is of non-doing. The divine feminine energy needs a container to rest and simply be. This may look lacking from the outside but it's profound within. The intuitive nature of woman is because she is moving a tremendous amount of energy. Her spirit is sifting and alchemizing at all times. It needs a container to mulch all the energy it channels and it needs rest, nourishment, and to be well tended to do so.
There's an aspect of rest that is very much an inner experience. An inner state of being. It’s a calming of our mind which calms our body, and a calming of our body which calms our mind. It's feeling rooted, grounded, and present while also feeling a connection to the divine. We need to harness a state of rest in our waking hours to thrive in our magic as women.
Restoring this sacred part of yourself requires you to commit to slowing down, to sleep, and to improvise with the time and tools you have to honor your divine feminine energy and it's true needs.
When we are exhausted or run down we aren’t only missing out on our ability to alchemize with full force but we don’t think straight. This is when our self-berating, pessimistic, hopeless and faithless thoughts strike. It’s when we are exhausted that we lose faith in our hopes and dreams, when we feel like we “can’t do it.” It’s when we are exhausted that we snap emotionally, say yes when we mean no, and no when we mean yes. It’s when we are exhausted that our darkest thoughts about ourselves, our lives, and the world strike.
It’s when we are exhausted that body pain arises, it’s when we get sick and it’s when our immunity begins to collapse. It’s when we are exhausted that our hearts shut down and close off locking our beloveds out. It’s when we are exhausted that depression, anxiety and melancholy knock at our doorstep.
Being rested is having peace, calm, quiet, and stillness within. Being rested is a state of existence that allows us to be present in our consciousness. It’s being rested that allows us to see that the hustle and bustle is a crazed way of life disconnecting us from the beauty of this world that doesn’t care what we accomplish or how much we get done.
We can be moving so quickly that we forget our true nature has nothing to do with to-do’s, productivity, efficiency or accomplishments. The wisdom of the divine feminine understands this deeply.
Have you ever noticed how your state of rest effects your mental health, your experience of the world, your perspective of the world and your overall state of being?
We live in a world that equates productivity, efficiency, and accomplishments in physical form with worth. Reclaiming the divine feminine way is to burn that illusion to dust.
Equating our worth with this type of energy leads us to run ourselves to the ground disconnecting us from our true power. So often we fill our days to the brim. Even if it is with the “good stuff.”
Reclaiming the container for our divine feminine energy is reclaiming spaciousness
Rest, stillness, slowing down and so many forms of self care are projected as luxurious, lazy, an unnecessary wastes of time. This is not true. All of these things nurture us and nurture our feminine power. Rest nurtures our body, spirits, emotional well-being, and our divine feminine nature.
Rest fuels us, whether it's being restful in our waking hours or getting more sleep. Rest fuels our emotional stability and clarity. Rest fuels body love. Rest fuels our sexual energy, our creative energy and our intuitive ability. These all equate to our divine feminine power (no matter what gender we are) and a collective telling us to run ourselves to the ground, prioritizing all these energies less worthy than productivity and busy-ness is oppressing the vibration of our spirits natural ecstatic state when tended well.
When we are rested, our divine feminine energy will be a force and it will feed us, we will be sharp and attuned to clearly perceive what is happening around us and within, materially and energetically. Rest fuels our capability to THRIVE.
Have you ever noticed how being rested versus exhausted effects your emotional state, how you look at your body, how it affects your sexual drive, your creative fire, and the sharpness of your intuition?
It is time to reclaim spaciousness.
The Martyr is one of the biggest wounds or misconceptions of the feminine. The martyr is far from spacious. She leaves no space for herself. The martyr is projected to be heroic to give yourself away. To live your life in service of others. To be the healer, the caretaker, or the devotional mother. What is less talked about is that the Divine Mother in her many forms, mothers herself deeply. There is a difference between a genuine energy flowing through you in service and sacrificial energy that doesn't welcome you to receive or enjoy the beauty and pleasure of life all around you.
The most abundant form of giving requires rest, self care and for you to receive as well. This is what feeds your offerings to the world.
When we have aligned our life to support the true nature of our energy and our essence, we will wake up excited to get out of bed and share whatever it is we have to share with the world because we are in our element. We will wake up excited because universal energy is flooding through us as a force in service to the whole and ourselves. Being in our element requires rest for it to thrive. Exhaustion and scattered energy discombobulates our being and we can’t create the life our souls are longing for in this state.
Giving is not of sacrifice it’s an art. If we are giving without rest, without energy, without our cup full, it means nothing.
There is a story about the Goddess Lakshmi I once heard. Forgive me if it’s not fully translated but the message I took in stuck deeply and it feels important to share. It was the description of an image of her over the world and her breasts were in constant lactation feeding all. She represents abundance and the faith that there is plenty and always enough.
The story encapsulated that if our cup is always full we will constantly overflow in a natural state of giving and service. But if our cup depletes and we continually give our reserves elsewhere, we will forever be depleted.
Reclaiming our divine feminine energy is reclaiming self-care, our boundaries, rest, receptivity and knowing that tending ourselves will tend all.
I do not mean this as bypassing the challenges of life, the injustice and unequally distributed resources throughout our world but if we can practice putting our oxygen mask on first in different areas of our life knowing our soul nature is giving at heart, and just see what happens I think we would find illumination.
Think of all the ways you can fill your cup and tend yourself? If you feel like you don’t have the resources you need to fill your cup in the ways you’d like think of the ways you can with “nothing” - time, money, etc. Even if it’s simply breath work as an act to rest your mind. There is always something you can do.
What if we could give more than we ever dreamed AND we weren’t depleted by doing so but were fed by it?
How different would your life be? How different would the world be? Could it be? Imagine... I think it could.
It’s time for you to REST sister. Restore yourself. Reclaim yourself. The world needs you.
With love,
Abby
