How to free our feminine energy: Let the Goddess Dance.
We live in a world that pushes us and encourages us to constantly do more, be more, and aim higher. We are surrounded by spoken and unspoken messages that provoke us to never feel satiated with our accomplishments or state of being. We are immersed in beliefs rooted in scarcity and in fear of missing out instead of dropping into what lays before us.
I know this — and I still struggle with this on a daily basis, and I know I’m not the only one.
Just because we understand this truth does not mean it isn’t still engrained deep into our being. Our feminine power's greatest threat is ourselves — the pressure we put on ourselves, the stories we tell ourselves, and the expectations we have for ourselves. These standards have been bombarded upon us, and they’ve been programmed into us, but we have the power to burn them to dust and rewrite the story.
Our feminine power’s greatest ally is our ability to surrender and accept the current of energy within and around us for exactly what it is. It’s finding harmony with the forces attempting to carry us instead of distrusting the gravity. The feminine is fluid, cyclical, vast, and shapeshifting. We are many things. We are contradictory in nature but our vast polarities are what makes us whole. Our many faces, moods, energies, and embodiments are what make us complete. This magnitude is our power and we’ve been taught to constrain and deny it.
Our feminine power is activated when we are able to surrender to who we are.
Our kundalini energy is awakened when we release every sense of withholding and contraction and live uninhibitedly in our wild nature. As women, we become empowered when we accept all of ourselves. Our kundalini energy when unleashed is a force—but this energy is shapeshifting in itself. At times it does blaze brightly but just because all our energy centers are cracked wide open does not mean the current is wild and fast. It can be just as alive and potent in utter stillness receiving the silence of the moment, as it is when it’s sensually ecstatic spewing seeds of potential and birthing dreams long desired.
Our goddess-given right is to feel free to be in our own skin.
What prevents this is our stories, fears, insecurities self-doubt, and illusions of what we think we are supposed to be, and what we think we are supposed to be doing. What prevents this is us scrambling for something outside of ourselves, whether that’s a destination or an imagined state of becoming.
Receptivity is the divine feminine's holy nature — and receptivity is not about receiving from others. It’s about being receptive to ourselves and this life. It’s being receptive to the cosmos, the divine, and the current of life force moving through us and around us. It’s being open to receiving what the present moment has to offer and letting go of what simply isn't. It’s being receptive to the tapestry of consciousness and life that is much larger than our individuality. It’s being receptive to the innate process of the divine at work through our ancestral and karmic lines, through the earth, and the collective heart. It’s opening ourselves to receive this one precious life for what it has to offer, and it's opening ourselves to the beautiful temple of this world we get to commune with for a very short time.
There is nothing static or predictable about the feminine. Our creativity, sexuality, sensuality, emotionality, and intuition ebb and flow. We can not produce or express grandly at all times. We are not meant to live erotically wild always. Our emotions wax and wane, and the veils fluctuate as divine clarity comes to us in waves. We dance between extroversion and introversion, healing and being, and grieving and dreaming. Each facet of the feminine dances with one another, in service of one another, and in support of one another. We are seasonal beings, and there is sometimes no rhyme or reason in the way in which we dance. Every aspect of us and form of energy is shapeshifting, and activating our feminine power means awakening to the power of this current and letting it carry us.
What would it feel like to live your life in service of your heart, your essence, and your godly soul?
What would it feel like to witness yourself as royal with the divine knowing that you have all the answers regarding what you need and where you are going?
It’s true that our feminine energy can get slippery and spread thin without guidance. As much as our feminine energy needs freedom to guide us, it also needs a container to stay poignant. There is a balance between blind faith and structure.
The answers do live within you, but it’s your responsibility to tend yourself in a way that you can receive them.
There is stability in grounding, planning, and being organized There is stability in offering this magnificent and wild energy of ours a container, a goal, and a north star to follow — as long as we are able to not be rigid about it. We are spiritual beings in a physical body, and our physicality needs us to tend our earthly responsibilities so that our divinity can be followed with ease. We need to care for our bodies, tend our income, shelter, and be diligent about the food and water in which we ingest, and the environments that we are nested in. In this tending, we create room for our fluidity and shapeshifting nature to flow freely.
The wise grandmother asks us to be sharply clear about our priorities, values, and needs so that our roots are tapped so deeply a container is set rock solid for our wild nature to have absolute freedom to be as it will, and guide us as it pleases.
Plant your seeds, and dream wild dreams. Make vows to yourself and live by what you cherish most in this life. These are not things that anybody else can answer for you. You are not something that anybody else can define. You are the keeper of your majesty, and you are the keeper of your life in this magnificent world.
Your feminine energy is the Goddess's life force energy creating magic and beauty on this earth. Your joy, tears, laughter, dreams, body, sensuality, sexuality, compassion, and love are all forms of divine expression and creation. Unleash your innate nature and allow her to dance through you. Offer your inhibitions to the fire. Bury your shame and grief in the belly of the earth. Offer you tears to the rivers, your cries to the mountains, and your longings to the soil. Offer your prayers to the trees, and your gratitude to every ounce of this earth and your existence.
Surrender to your beauty no matter how you thought it should look. Surrender to your heart no matter how you thought you should feel. And surrender to your divine unfolding no matter where or what you wish you could be.
With marigold love beautiful one,
Abby
