How to activate your feminine power by surrendering to your capacity.
Feminine power is surrendering to our capacity and creating a container for ourselves to thrive — in our divinity and physicality. Feminine power is creating a container for joy and passion, laughter, rest, and our sultry vulnerability to be luscious. It’s creating a container for our honest ability, not one that is imagined to hold unrealistic ideals that are beyond us right here, and right now.
Feminine power is staking boundaries that honor and care for our animal bodies and our vulnerable state of mind. Feminine power is having self-respect and honoring our emotionality, our energy, tenderness, and our fire. Feminine power is tapping our roots into self-love while accepting the mess, and imperfections that accompany us.
Beautiful woman, when you are exhausted, rest. When you are empty, stop. When you are burnt out, decipher between what needs to be done, and what you think needs to be done. Our health is not invincible, and our lives are fleeting. Our power, and ability to seize this precious life depends on the container we create for ourselves — and that container depends on us waking up to the rules and expectations we've been living by. It depends on us waking up to the narratives that do not serve us, and rewriting ones that do. Happiness does not come from denying our truth, and joy does not live where we cannot breathe. Creativity doesn’t flourish on flumes, and passion cannot be forced.
Wake up to the patriarchy masked as wonder woman, and the empty idolization of hustling, and running ourselves into the ground. Wake up to the empty idolization of doing it all, and being everything. Wake up to the illusion that more is more, and see how our desired destination of self, and our life is always out of grasp.
Wake up and surrender to your capacity, and create a container that honors it.
Feminine power is releasing the drive that pushes us to live for the future, and it drops us into the present moment of beauty right in front of us. It awakens us to the love all around us, and the fleeting moments passing us by. Feminine power is releasing the pressure of our becoming, our goals, our purpose, the great work we wish to accomplish, and the great desires we ache to fulfill. It’s letting go, and releasing the control we never had while waking up to the current of life that carries us forward uncontrollably.
Feminine power is awakening to the beliefs, boundaries, and identities that have been imprinted into us and it is rewriting the conditions we’ve been told, taught, and shown. It’s rewriting the stories of what femininity and power even mean. It’s rewriting the standard of expectations, and who we think we should be. It’s rewriting the beliefs of what our life should be, and looking at our relationship with our dreams and acceptance, gratitude and happiness, and abundance and success.
Feminine power is waking up to the beliefs and train of thoughts that are not ours, and making our own rules.
We must release the preconceived limitations that have been instilled in us, and create a fierce container that protects and respects our innate being and limitless potential. We must realize that creating a fierce container does not mean that we ourselves have to be fierce — we make the container fierce so that we don’t have to be. Joy does not flourish in hypervigilance or overwhelm, it flourishes when we are grounded in ease, and when we feel safe to be. It flourishes when we allow our natural waves of drive and passion to carry us, instead of expecting ourselves to do what we know we cannot.
Feminine power is about self-honesty, and acceptance, because this is what feeds the fire of our holy flames of creativity and passion. This is what unleashes our unstoppable life force.
Our feminine energy is fluid, cyclical, and an entity of wisdom and creative power in itself—but if we are not in right relationship with it, it goes flat and dull, and we will eventually become vacant shells of a being. Feminine energy is rooted in stillness, and receptivity, not because it’s only passive in nature but because this passivity grants it the power to blaze.
There are many models around us we could take on as women, mothers, business women, wives, lovers, or sisters, but the only ones that will make us thrive are derived from within. Nobody else has the answers or the way for us because there is nobody else like us. We have to question every template we’ve been given, and every identity we've thought our own — not because they are all wrong, but because without truly looking we will never know.
We must name our values and priorities, place them on our soul's altar and create a sacred container around them. We get to structure our lives to protect and cherish what we choose. We get to write our own script. We may have to do things very differently than the world we see around us, and we may also have to surrender to sacrifices we’ve resisted that may serve us after all. The patriarchy and capitalism have their shadows, and those shadows are often modifications of past attempts to resolve a shadow that lived even longer ago. Just as we can't assume the templates we've been given are in our greatest service, we can't assume them all to be valueless either.
Activating our feminine power means deciding for ourselves.
It’s a dance between an infinite inquiry of the self and one’s life, and an insatiable gratitude and acceptance for what is. Feminine power is letting go, but it’s also not stagnant or complacent. Feminine power is rooted in surrender, and then leverages what is left instead of grasping at the energy we don’t have to become something we are not.
Our power is within us, and it's easy to lose grasp when we are busy chasing it outside of ourselves. Our container is not the world around us, or the circumstances we’ve been granted, our container is the boundaries and narratives through which we live. So rest within and listen my love — everything you need is inside of you, and this is the only way we can truly find our way home.
With marigold love,
Abby
